Okay, the first and most important thing to know about us is:
There is no us!
Kinetics is just me – Ben Cooper. I do the lot – build bikes, pack mail orders, answer emails, do the accounts (when I really, really have nothing better to do), make the coffee, and create this website.
That means I’m often a wee bit busy, sorry 😉 If you need to contact me urgently, then the phone is the best idea – I do answer emails, but it might take me a couple of days, as I usually do emails in the evening with a large beer. Have a look at Facebook or Twitter to see what I’m up to…
Anyway, here are some more useful things to know about “us”:
By Bike: There are some fun ways – if you are near the Forth & Clyde canal, then jump on to that, and ride along to Firhill basin. Get off at Firhill Road (the football ground), cycle down the hill past the football ground and turn right into the car park at Queens Cross Housing Association. Follow the line of units almost to the end, and you’ll find us.
By Bus: Lots of buses go up Maryhill Road, get off at Queens Cross, then head past the church down Garscube Road (the left branch at the Y junction). We’re not far from the junction.
Places To Stay:
I’ve got no personal experience of local hotels, but these ones are nearby:
Ambassador Hotel
Botanic Hotel
SYHA Glasgow Youth Hostel
Glasgow Metro Youth Hostel
Excellent place, good choice and great advice. Recumbents aren’t cheap but Ben has an excellent choice and great follow-up.
I bought a Grasshopper from Ben and I’ve also bought specialist Brompton bits in the past.
If you want normal you can get that anywhere, but if you want something special Ben is your man. He has some amazing bikes but he’s also endlessly creative in producing elegant adaptations.
Thanks!
